There’s been a lot of talk about why Bank of America closed recently in Sebastian, Florida. Some say it is because of COVID-19, and some say they are shut down due to a lack of business.
Well, we reached out to Bank of America, and they called us back.
“We’ve made changes because of the pandemic. Some branches close temporarily because of a variety of reasons. Sometimes it’s because we see fewer visits at a particular location, or one location might be too small to social distance, or sometimes having a full staff at a particular branch may not be effective right now,” Matthew Daily, Bank of America Media Relations, told Sebastian Daily.
The representative said all ATMs are still working for customers at any location to help them with their banking. Customers with a safety deposit box can have access by making an appointment with the bank.
The closure at the Bank of America branch in Sebastian is only temporary, and they plan to reopen on February 16, 2021.
Some branches may remain closed for an extended period.
