All residents are invited to a meeting on November 9th at 7 p.m. at the Sebastian City Hall Chambers for a deep dive into the 10-Year Strategic Plan for Indian River County Parks.
“This meeting will highlight the 10-month process of developing a 10 Year Master Plan for Indian River County Parks and Recreation facilities and programs. We encourage everyone to share this public meeting information,” said Beth Powell, the Director of Parks, Recreation & Conservation for Indian River County.
The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners invites all community members to contribute to shaping the future of recreational spaces.
The agenda includes exploring the designs for upcoming county parks and discussing playground features and outdoor recreational activities. Residents also have the opportunity to recommend new programs and guide decisions on park funding priorities.
The Recreation Department of Indian River County offers and promotes recreational activities and venues for residents and tourists of every age bracket. Moreover, it ensures trained and certified lifeguards are stationed at County beach and water facilities. All financial support for these initiatives and administrative expenses is sourced from the County’s M.S.T.U. fund. Expenditures related to programs tailored for inhabitants of the County’s unincorporated regions are handled by this department.
