St. Baldricks Shave Event

The Saint Baldrick’s 13th Annual Brave the Shave Charity Event will be Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Capt Hirams Resort sandbar. All proceeds will go towards Childhood Cancer Research.

A Cause That Hits Home

Childhood cancer is one of the toughest blows a family can take. It’s not like some adult cancers that come from lifestyle factors—it just crashes in out of nowhere, snatching away kids’ carefree days and leaving parents and neighbors scrambling for answers.

The Saint Baldrick’s Foundation is on a mission to change this by funding critical research to find cures and improve treatments. Every dollar you give at Brave the Shave events goes straight to this fight, giving you a real, hands-on way to punch back at this brutal disease.

So far, the Indian River County Brave the Shave events have raised 1.3 million dollars. What a testament to the power of a our united community. By attending on March 29th you’ll be building on that legacy and helping fight against childhood cancer.

More Than Just a Fundraiser – It’s a testament to our community

St. Baldrick’s Brave the Shave events are about more than raising money, it’s also about lifting spirits. You will see police officers, firefighters, teachers, real estate agents, people from all different backgrounds stepping up to buzz their heads, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with kids who lose their hair to cancer treatments.

You will feel the energy of this tight-knit community, whether you’re coming as a shaver, shavee, throwing in cash, or cheering on participants.

Your Presence Makes a Difference

It’s a family-friendly affair, so bring the kids, grab a cold drink, and make a day of it. You will see local heroes—firefighters, police officers, teachers, and even your neighbors taking their turn in the barber’s chair.
