Congressional Medal of Merit
President Franklin D. Roosevelt established the Congressional Medal of Merit in 1942. It was originally created to honor citizens of the United States for their services during World War II.
However, in present times, the US Congress can award it to honor citizens ages 14 to 23 for their contributions, leadership, and achievements.
