The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) is thrilled to announce an exclusive Artist Meet and Greet event as a highlight of the “Reflections of Nature” art show, presented by the Orchid Island Art Club. This event, part of the ELC’s Nature Inspired Art Series, offers the public a unique opportunity to engage with local artists amidst the beauty of nature-inspired artwork. The meet and greet will take place on Wednesday, March 13th, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Since its opening on March 3rd, “Reflections of Nature” has captivated visitors in the Tidal Gallery and Lagoon Room, showcasing the diverse and vibrant interpretations of nature’s beauty. The exhibition, running through the end of May, features the work of eleven talented artists, including Diana Bickford, Muci Clemens, Cornelia Gundlach, Jackie Harding-Chernoff, Lou Lower, Nancy Ofstie, Ruth Martin, Reggie McCormack, Judy Stach, Ann Starkey, and Mary Stewart.
Attendees at the Artist Meet and Greet can look forward to personal interactions with these artists, gaining insights into their creative processes and inspirations drawn from the natural world. The evening will be further enhanced by live music from vocalist and guitarist Todd Jones, along with refreshments for guests to enjoy.
The exhibit boasts over sixty exquisite paintings and photographs, all available for purchase. In a generous act of support, the artists have committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from art sales to the ELC, underlining their dedication to environmental stewardship and community engagement.
