The City of Sebastian Centennial Celebration will be on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Riverview Park. We will be recognizing the 100-year anniversary of the day the Town of Sebastian was officially incorporated.
You will want to attend this once-in-a-lifetime event. The Centennial Celebration will start with a parade of Clydesdales and a carriage capable of accommodating 20 people going down Indian River Drive at 10:00 am. It will conclude with fireworks at the twin piers across from Riverview Park at 6:00 pm.
Schedule
- 10:00 am | Parade with Express Clydesdales & Teddy Roosevelt – Witness the majesty of Clydesdales pulling a carriage fit for 20 and Teddy Roosevelt as they kick off the festivities along Indian River Drive to Riverview Park.
- 10:30 am | Welcome from City Council and other dignitaries
- 10:45 to 11:30 am | Meet Teddy Roosevelt: shake hands with a historical reenactor portraying the iconic President and enjoy a Roosevelt-themed show.
- 10:45 am to 2:00 pm | Take pictures with the Clydesdales
- 11:30 am to 1:30 pm | Group Therapy Band (Local Favorites)
- 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm | Kids Zone: Keep your little ones entertained with a dedicated play area.
- 12:00 pm | Come & enjoy free birthday cupcakes & Pioneer Day Costume winner recognition
- 3:00 pm to 5:45 pm | Short Circuit Band
- 6 pm | Fireworks: End the day with a dazzling fireworks display over the twin piers across from Riverview Park.
