Founded by Robin Phillips in April 2017, the Richard Phillips Down Biker Fund honors the memory of her late husband, Richard Phillips, who suffered a fatal accident while riding his motorcycle. Their mission is to support motorcyclists in Indian River County & Brevard County by providing financial assistance during the critical period following a severe motorcycle accident.
In 2022, the Richard Phillips Down Biker Fund distributed 107 checks, each amounting to $500, to provide some financial relief to affected riders or their families in the wake of their distressing incidents. This year, the Fund has already issued 85 checks.
Eligibility for this assistance requires the affected individual to have a minimum of a 24-hour hospital stay or for the incident to have resulted in a fatality. The foundation aspires to generate funds to sustain and amplify its support for those in need.
Musical entertainment at the event will feature Joules Rio from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by Harper & Midwest Kind, who will take the stage from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
