Last Saturday was the inaugural For The Love of Paws: Paws Walk-A-Thon; it was a resounding success due to the incredible generosity of our Sebastian community, rallying behind the cause.
Fifty enthusiastic walkers, accompanied by their furry companions, traversed the scenic trails of the Sebastian Rail Trail Preserve. Amidst the beautiful surroundings, they were serenaded by local ukulele talents and participated in basket raffles. Collectively, their efforts culminated in a remarkable fundraising achievement, amassing over $3,000 in support of For The Love of Paws.
The Circle of Friends Women’s Club took the helm as sponsors for this charitable endeavor. In addition, some of their volunteers help the Paws Pet Food Pantry Meals on Wheels for Seniors.
Local establishments showed tremendous generosity by contributing to the creation of five gift baskets, each valued between $220 and $370. Among the generous donors were MoBay Grill, Riverwalk Café, Chubby Mullet, Old Fish House, Sweet Home Vintage Market, Valhalla Coffee, Khun Khum Thai Restaurant, Red Nails Salon, Hidden Oasis Day Spa, JT Diner & Grill, Hair Craze Salon, Rich Boyington Gold Smith, Kathleen Bridge Autographed Book, Riverside Pet Salon, Pet Sense, Roseland Animal Clinic, CC’s Place, and E-Power Bike Shop.
