Former Mayor Jim Hill has officially joined Sebastian Daily as a news contributor to write about local politics and other issues affecting Sebastian, Florida.
Hill is a vital resource in local politics with a wealth of knowledge about the City of Sebastian that will benefit our readers.
“Sebastian Daily has for several years been the only source for honest, dependable news and information in the City Of Sebastian. I look forward to bringing the insight gained over the last two decades serving Sebastian on the issues affecting our great community. My goal is to be positive in my commentary while ensuring the truth at all times,” said Hill.
Hill recently retired from public service after serving for more than 20 years.
During his time on City Council, Hill served as a member of the Indian River County Elected Officials Oversight Committee for School Concurrency, Indian River County Tourist Development Council, Indian River County Beach and Shores Preservation Committee, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and Metropolitan Planning Organization and met with the members of the other Indian River County municipalities on a regular basis on issues affecting all of them.
