Gabby Ioffredo, from Sebastian, has been selected by the Night to Shine prom, an event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, to create shirts for the Kings and Queens attending.
The event will be at the Polish American Club, which joins numerous churches around the globe in hosting a memorable prom night for their community of individuals with special needs. It will all take place simultaneously on Friday, February 9, 2024.
“Lakeside is excited to be a part of this worldwide movement that God is using as a catalyst to change how cultures embrace people with disabilities and to rally the church worldwide to honor their local community of people with special needs, ensuring they know they are valued and loved,” the Church said in a statement.
Night to Shine offers a free experience, and although each event has its unique features, common activities often encompass a glamorous red carpet entrance with an enthusiastic crowd and paparazzi, beauty stations for hair and makeup, limousine experiences, floral corsages and boutonnieres, a specially catered dinner, opportunities for dancing and karaoke, thoughtful gifts, a dedicated Respite Room for parents and caregivers, a Sensory Room tailored for comfort, and a special crowning ceremony where every distinguished guest is presented with a crown or tiara.
“I’m so excited that we will celebrate 10 years of Night to Shine this coming year! All around the world, people with special needs are going to be cheered for on the red carpet, dance the night away with their friends, be crowned a king or a queen of the prom… but most importantly, they’re going to hear that they are loved by the God of this universe. We continue to be in awe of all God has done over the past nine years, but we believe He has even more in store. Every town, every village, every nation needs Night to Shine because we want every person with special needs to know that they are one of one, created in love, by love and for love,” said Tim Tebow, founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation.
As a sponsor of Night to Shine, the Tim Tebow Foundation equips each participating Church with the official 2024 Night to Shine Planning Manual, offers individualized advice and support from a staff member of the Tim Tebow Foundation, the chance to apply for financial grants and access to comprehensive planning tools to help orchestrate a memorable evening for their esteemed guests.
Additionally, the foundation furnishes ongoing resources for disability ministry through Shine On, a ministry dedicated to providing faith-based materials to churches, encouraging them to integrate individuals with disabilities into their church communities.
Over the years, Night to Shine, through hundreds of churches from 56 different countries, has provided over half a million guest experiences. 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of Night to Shine.
