Multiple tornadoes hit Indian River County

Strong tornadoes have caused significant damage on beachside near the Quail Valley River Club area. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is currently conducting search and rescue operations in the affected areas.

The Vero Beach Police Department was directly hit by a tornado. They are currently operating on generator power.

Indian River County has experienced heavy rainfall, with over 6 inches falling in the past couple of hours. Numerous roads are flooded in the Sebastian, Fellsmere, and Vero Beach areas, making travel extremely hazardous.
