Indian River County beaches will officially reopen April 28, 2020, at 7:00 a.m. The open public beach parks shall be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week.
County officials will be assuring that social distancing guidelines are met.
The pubic beach access points of Wabasso Beach, Golden Sands, Tracking Station Beach, Round Island Beach, the east end of Beachcomber Lane, South Beach, Humiston Beach, Sexton Plaza Beach, Conn Beach and Jaycee Beach will all be reopened. All other public beach access points will remain closed.
Walking, running, swimming, wading, floating, surfing, paddleboarding, and kayaking, and exercising shall be permitted in opened public beach parks while utilizing social distancing standards in accordance with CDC Guidelines and physical distancing of at least 6 feet and no groups of more than ten people.
Sunbathing, group sports or activities, and sitting or being stationary on the beach are all prohibited in open public beach parks. Blankets, chairs, coolers, beach umbrellas, tents, and any other items that promote being stationary are also prohibited on the beach and in open public beach parks.
