The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) is currently deploying its resources to aid in search, rescue, and relief operations on Florida’s West Coast, following the significant devastation caused by Hurricane Ian.
This morning, a team of dedicated deputies was addressed by Sheriff Eric Flowers as they prepared to leave for the afflicted region. Flowers acknowledged the fact that Indian River County was fortunate to have escaped the storm’s fury, and emphasized the importance of helping the communities now grappling with its aftermath.
“We were spared from Hurricane Ian’s wrath here in Indian River County, so it is now our duty to support our brothers and sisters who weren’t as fortunate on the West Coast,” Flowers stated. “We are allocating resources to provide immediate assistance and will continue to offer help as required. I urge everyone to keep these affected communities in their prayers.”
According to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the dispatched team is tirelessly working around the clock to provide assistance to those impacted by the destruction Hurricane Ian left in its wake.
