American Legion Post 189 of Sebastian will be hosting its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 30, 2022, at 11:00 am Riverview Park (Veterans Memorial). However, they suggest that attendees arrive by 10:30 am. The ceremony will be approximately 1 hour.
What to Expect
- The Pledge of Allegiance
- Invocation by Rev. Dave Newhart
- Speeches by Sebastian Mayor Jim Hill & Vice Mayor Fred Jones
- A 21 Gun Salute
- Music by the Sebastian High School Marching Band
- The Boy Scouts of America
What to Bring
There will be bleachers set up; however, you are welcome to bring folding chairs.
Following the Ceremony
After the ceremony, all attendees are invited to come back to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) for a light lunch. They are located at 815 Louisiana Ave, in Sebastian.
