The Roseland Ecumenical Food Pantry requires food donations as the number of people in need drastically increases. There are many food pantries throughout Indian River County, yet it seems like our community has been unable to keep up with the demand lately. Last month the number of people coming to the food pantry nearly doubled.
How & Where to Bring Donations
Donations should be brought to the Roseland Ecumenical Food Pantry, located at 8205 129 Ct, in Sebastian. There will be people there to assist you Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. If you can not go during theses hours, there is a big brown bin outside where you can leave the donations.
Please donate these non-perishable food items if you are able:
- Soups
- Canned Fruit
- Vegetables
- Canned meats – Chicken or Tuna
- Pasta
- Rice
- Mac n’ Cheese
- Peanut Butter & Jelly
- Canned & Dry Beans
- Cereal
- Granola Breakfast Bars
- Cake Mixes & Frosting
- Cans with pop-tops are also an excellent idea for those who are homeless.
How to Receive Food
Visit the Roseland Ecumenical Food Pantry and fill out a simple application to receive food. The pantry dispenses food Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Each family is eligible to receive a 25-30 pound box of groceries once a month. They also serve approximately 60 homeless neighbors and those with no way to prepare a meal; they are eligible to receive food from the pantry weekly.
