The Exchange Club of Sebastian is happy to give a shoutout to these students who show leadership, citizenship, smarts, community work, and sportsmanship. What makes them stand out is their ability to motivate those around them. They set a powerful example through their actions, inspiring their classmates to pursue greatness and foster a supportive environment.
Young Citizenship Awards
Lana Loffredo (Sebastian Charter Junior High School)
Lana Loffredo is an great student who always gives 110%. She shows unwavering determination, overcomes obstacles and strives for excellence. Responsible, respectful, and a natural leader, Lana is reliable and holds herself to a high standard. Her curiosity and kindness shine in class, where she supports peers and faculty. Lana is a positive force every day.
William Walsh (Sebastian River Middle School)
William Walsh is an standout 8th grader at SRMS with a perfect GPA. He’s mature, cooperative, and hardworking, and is regularly earning high grades. William leads by example, and inspires his peers. A talented scientist, he’s competed in the Indian River Regional Science & Engineering Fair for three years, earning third place in engineering this year. Bright, humorous, and positive, William builds great relationships and is poised to make a significant impact.
Saige Lupo (Storm Grove Middle School)
Saige Lupo is an excellent student with straight A’s in advanced courses. She excels in projects, participates actively in class, and collaborates well with classmates. Balancing National Junior Honor Society, cheer, chorus, theater, and high school credit classes like Spanish I and Geometry Honors, she also helps with morning announcements and ranks in the top 10 of Dr. Moore’s Mathletes Competition. Dedicated and kind, Saige serves on the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council and tutors peers in Algebra. She’s a respectful, responsible role model with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

Sage Davidian (Sebastian River High School)
Sage Davidian is an IB Diploma Candidate with a 4.5 GPA. He has been a K-12 IB student, a member of the National Honor Society, is WordPress Certified and Agriculture Certified in Biotech, the Senior Class Treasurer, a member of the FBLA, Pickleball Member, First Priority Club Member and Peer-to-Peer mentor at Fellsmere Elementary. He has been a Science Fair judge at Liberty Magnet and Camp Counselor at Liberty Magnet’s WOW Camp. He has served as a Field Marshall at the IRSA Soccer Vero Cup Tournament and is a volunteer at the Firefighter’s Fair. Sage works as a lifeguard at the north county pool. He loves to play all sports, fish and draw. Sage is highly interested in pursuing a career in the medical field. In accepting his award Sage thanked his family and friends and “all who made this possible.” He plans to attend UCF and study to be an anesthesiologist.
Mary Twomey (Sebastian River High School)
Mary Twomey carries a 4.4 GPA and is an IB Diploma Candidate. She is a member of the National Honor Society, a Shark Award Recipient (for Athletes with a 3.5 GPA), Treasure Coast Championship Swimming Team member and captain and a 3-time finalist for the FHSAA Swimming and Diving Championships. She was awarded MVP of the SRHS Swim Team 3 years in a row. Mary took her love of swimming and did her IB CAS Project on helping children swim. She is a member of the Athlete Training Leadership and a volunteer with the Float Hope of Indian River County since 2021. Mary loves to play pickleball, listen to music, and bake. In accepting her award Mary thanked the Sebastian Exchange Club and her parents for supporting her. She plans to attend Florida Atlantic University and study Exercise Science.
Exchange Club of Sebastian
The Exchange Club of Sebastian sponsors the Student of the Month program and supports scholarships, Youth Guidance, Roseland Food Pantry, Guardians for New Futures, Nana’s House, Chum Bucket, and veteran groups. Their main fundraiser, The Blue Water Open Fishing Tournament, is May 30-31, 2025, funding child abuse prevention, youth, Americanism, and community projects. Join them on Wednesdays (except the first) at noon at Capt. Hiram’s Resort—guests welcome.
