Editorial – Promoting a GoFundMe is something we do from time to time at Sebastian Daily, but it’s on a case-by-case basis. In this case, it’s about someone who has always been there for others.
Today, we sadly learned that Len Lund of Sebastian has been diagnosed with lung cancer and is seeking donations that will go towards traveling to and from doctor appointments for radiation and chemotherapy treatments, oxygen supplies, and anything not covered by health insurance.
When our city was going through a political crisis in 2020 involving three city council members, he volunteered his time to help with the Sebastian recall.
Lund, 54, has always helped others in time of need without hesitation. But, now, he needs our help. They are facing $12,000 in medical bills and growing. Their goal is to raise $25,000.
He is currently out of work because of his health. Lund worked in construction and shot professional fireworks with Zambelli International and American Pyrotechnics for over 17 years. He would travel throughout the states and put on colorful Fireworks displays.
