SEBASTIAN – A skydiver from Brazil was injured after he fell about 20 feet in the air at the end of his jump at Skydive Sebastian on Sunday afternoon.
According to a witness, the parachute fully deployed after the jumper left the plane. But something went wrong towards the end of the jump.
The man was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida where he is alert but couldn’t walk, according to police.
At approximately 4:00 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported the incident at Skydive Sebastian.
The name of the injured skydiver hasn’t been released.
The incident happened at Gate 21 at the Sebastian Municipal Airport.
