The City of Sebastian’s Natural Resources Board will host its Annual Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Riverview Park in Sebastian.
This a family-friendly event that brings our community together to honor our planet with a day packed with fun, education, and eco-conscious activities.
What to Expect
There will be a blend of entertainmental activities, environmental awareness, and more. Highlights include:
- Non-Profits & Environmental Organizations: Connect with groups dedicated to conservation and sustainability, offering insights and ways to get involved.
- Local Small Businesses & Food Vendors: Savor bites and shop unique goods from Sebastian artisans and vendors.
- Sebastian River Art Club Art Show & Sale: Admire and purchase stunning works by local artists, celebrating creativity and nature.
- WM Shredding & Electronic Recycling Event (9 AM – 12 PM): Kick off the day with spring cleaning! Safely dispose of paper and electronics in the Overflow Parking Lot (south side of Riverview Park). Pro tip: Arrive after 10 AM to avoid peak wait times.
- Buffered Shoreline Planting with ORCA: Join the Ocean Research & Conservation Association to plant native species and protect our waterways.
- Kid’s Activities: The little ones will be entertained with engaging, eco-themed fun.
- Live Entertainment: Enjoy performances that set the perfect vibe for this green celebration.

Waste Management Recycling & Spring Cleaning Event
WM Shredding & Electronic Recycling Event will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, offering a secure way to declutter responsibly. Bring your old documents and electronics to the “Overflow Parking Lot” across the street North or Riverview Park and help keep Sebastian green.
Note: The busiest hour is 9 AM to 10 AM, so plan accordingly for a smoother experience.

Spring Cleaning Drop-Off Event at Sebastian Barber Street Sports Complex
They are also having a Spring Cleaning Drop-Off Event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Sebastian Barber Street Sports Complex (Football Field parking lot off Tulip Drive). Bring your unwanted household items.
This year, they are also partnering with BikeWalk IRC to collect gently used bicycles for their Bike Rehab Program! All other bicycles that cannot be refurbished will be taken by Waste Management.
