On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, law enforcement members from various agencies around the county will gather for the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
The event will start at 9:30 a.m. from the Sebastian Publix located at 1451 Sebastian Blvd. (corner of County Roads 510 and 512). Come join us! Registration and a signed waiver will be available in front of the Publix.
Runners will head east to Power Line Road and then head north to Main Street in Sebastian. From there, runners will turn east and end at the Sebastian Police Department, 1201 Main Street.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the movement’s largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle, raising more than $560 million for Special Olympics programs around the world since its start in 1981.
More than 85,000 law enforcement officers carry the Flame of Hope across 35 nations, raising awareness and funds for Special Olympics. Thousands more raise money through the Torch Run in local fund-raising events.
