Jamal Riggins, a standout senior at Sebastian River High School, initially pledged to join Wake Forest University after his 2017 graduation. However, Riggins has reconsidered and is exploring more opportunities in college recruitment.
As a junior, Riggins, who stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 210 pounds, demonstrated his athletic prowess with an impressive season record: 4 blocks, 4 blocked kicks, 100 tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception.
In the recent season opener against the Titusville Terriers, Riggins, now in his senior year, showcased his skills by intercepting a pass, setting a promising tone for the season.
Kevin Pettis, the coach at Sebastian River High School, commented on Riggins’ decision to reassess his options, suggesting that Riggins experienced a change of heart and wishes to consider additional offers before finalizing his choice.
At 17, Riggins has already attracted attention from several universities, receiving scholarship offers from institutions like Indiana, Michigan State, North Carolina, and Mississippi State, among others.
The future is bright for this talented athlete, and many are eager to see which college he will ultimately select.
