The City of Sebastian’s Natural Resources Board will host its Annual Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at Riverview Park. The community celebration of all things environmental will feature live entertainment, food & retail vendors, family-friendly activities, and environmental organizations.
There will also be a “Healthy Lagoon: Let’s Chalk About It” contest with prizes for all ages from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Chalk will be provided.

Waste Management: Shredding, Recycling & Spring Cleaning Event
The Waste Management shredding, recycling, and spring cleaning event will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm during the Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration at the CavCorp Parking Lot (next to Speedway). FYI, the longest wait times are between 9:00 am and 10:00 am.
Spring Cleaning Event for Large Household Items
The Spring Cleaning Event for large household items will be at Barber Street Sports Complex, located at 950 Barber St, in Sebastian. This year, they are partnering with BikeWalk IRC to collect gently used bicycles for their Bike Rehab Program. Waste Management will take all other bicycles that cannot be refurbished.
