The Sebastian Police Department & St. Sebastian Catholic Church will be hosting a Turkey & Dry Food Drive at the Sebastian Walmart Friday, November 22, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. to help those in need this Thanksgiving season.
“We will be outside of Walmart with a table set up to collect turkeys and dry food. We usually get around 80 turkeys, and 1000 pounds of food,” Officier Jason Gillette of the Sebastian Police Department told Sebastian Daily.
The food collected will be dispersed by the St Sebastian Catholic Church. They will deliver the food to families in need in Sebastian. They will also accept money, which they will use to purchase more food.
“The Sebastian Police department is always looking for ways to continue to improve our already terrific relationship with the community we serve. Our annual turkey drive is just another way for us to serve the people we care so much about and to meet the needs of the residents of Sebastian,” added Officier Gillette.
