Treasure Coast Food Bank’s New Facility and $30 Million to End Hunger

Treasure Coast Food Bank's New Facility

Treasure Coast Food Bank's New Facility

Last year, the Treasure Coast Food Bank broke ground on a new facility, signaling a bold step toward breaking the cycle of hunger and poverty in the region. Today, as construction on the 132,000-square-foot solutions-based hub progresses, the organization is unveiling its ambitious “Feed Unite Flourish” capital campaign—a $30 million initiative aimed at increasing capacity, expanding services, and addressing the rising tide of food insecurity along the Treasure Coast.

This building aims to bring all their work under one roof, so they can keep helping people even when things get tough, and handle the increasing need for good food and support programs. By putting everything in one place, we’ll make sure the food bank stays a dependable resource for those struggling with money problems or dealing with emergencies like storms.

“This anniversary marks not only the progress of our new building but also our unwavering commitment to this community,” said Judith Cruz, President and CEO of Treasure Coast Food Bank. “The ‘Feed Unite Flourish’ campaign isn’t just about constructing a building—it’s about increasing capacity to nourish our neighbors, investing in partnerships, and innovating for lasting change to build a stronger community for all.”

A Facility Built for the Future

The new facility, now halfway through construction, will feature state-of-the-art amenities to enhance the food bank’s mission:

As hurricane season is near, there is some urgency to complete this project. The food bank has already raised half of its $30 million fundraising goal and is calling on the community—individuals, businesses, and organizations alike—to help cross the finish line. Timely support will ensure the facility is operational and ready to provide relief when storms or economic challenges strike.

The “Feed Unite Flourish” campaign is built on three core pillars:

A Call to Action

Reflecting on a year of progress, Treasure Coast Food Bank remains focused on the work ahead. The nonprofit organization envisions a community where no parent has to skip meals to feed their children and where families in crisis have a safe place to turn and stand stronger together.
