There’s a rumor going on around Sebastian that has many people upset.
People say that Governor Ron DeSantis is expected to shut down all alcohol sales on Monday at 3:00 p.m.
Well, we asked where this information was because we couldn’t validate the story. Someone sent us a link to a news story showing the headline “No Beer or Alcohol Sales in State or Florida as of 3PM 3/30.”
However, when you click on that link to the news story, it reads: “You Got Owned!” and “You’ve Been Pranked!”
Many people went out and stocked up on beer & alcohol, increasing sales for Walmart and our local stores.
If the DeSantis does make an executive order to shut down sales, we’ll let you know. But right now, it’s a prank.
