Last Saturday, the Pareidolia Brewing Company in Sebastian was alive with wagging tails, classic cars, and the groovy sounds of HairPeace as Woofstock 2025 turned out to be the biggest event yet for HALO No-Kill Rescue Shelter.
The annual pet-friendly festival raised an impressive $25,000, a sum that the Douglas McDowell Memorial Fund is matching, bringing the grand total to $50,000 for the shelter’s mission to save and care for homeless animals.
“It was our best year yet with this event,” Allyson King of HALO No-Kill Rescue Shelter told Sebastian Daily.
HALO, a 501(c)(3) no-kill rescue shelter, provides medical care, emotional support, and a safe haven for animals each year.
This year’s Woofstock drew a crowd of pet lovers, many of whom brought their own furry companions to join the adoptable dogs roaming the grounds.
The event channeled the spirit of the 1960s Woodstock festival with its peace, love, and pets vibe, complete with live music from HairPeace filling the air. Hungry attendees lined up at the Off the Hook food truck, while the Vero Vintage Volkswagens club rolled in with a display of classic vehicles that added a nostalgic flair to the afternoon.
The money raised will go directly to HALO’s Sugar Faces Fund, a program that helps hundreds of senior dogs receive the specialized care and love they need to enjoy their golden years in a home rather than a kennel.
