Former City Council members Damien Gilliams and Pamela Pamela, who were convicted on charges of Perjury and violating the Sunshine Law, will return to court for a hearing on Friday, November 5, 2021.
Sources say that the City of Sebastian’s insurance company seeks to recoup additional legal expenses that could cost anywhere from $50,000 to $90,000.
A judge already issued more than $26,000 of restitution when Gilliams and Parris were sentenced to jail in September. However, they have appealed the case. If the appeal is denied, they will have 24 hours to report to jail.
An insurance adjuster will be present on November 5, and there will be some testimony from City Manager Paul Carlisle.
Sebastian Daily will be at the courthouse to cover the hearing.
