VERO BEACH – Indian River County Sheriff’s officials are investigating a shooting that took place Monday morning at approximately 7:34 a.m. at the Motel 6 in Vero Beach.
One man was shot in the chest and flown to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Fort Pierce.
Deputies are actively searching for a 20-year-old black male, 6 feet tall, driving a 4-door silver car. The vehicle was described as a Nissan Altima.
The name of the shooter has not been released.
