One homeowner shot in Vero Lake Estates during an auto burglary

Car thieves tried to steal several vehicles last night in Vero Lake Estates, most captured on home video surveillance.

One homeowner was shot after confronting the thieves. There’s no information released at this time on their condition.

The victim’s neighbor says the homeowner was shot in the hand and arm, but appears to be in stable condition.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 a.m. Sunday.
