VERO BEACH – The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office received a call Saturday night at approximately 7:00 p.m. in reference to a man with a gun at the Majestic 11 Theater in Vero Beach.
Deputies arrived at the Vero Beach theater and looked for the man.
“We were going to see a movie but left after seeing deputies run in all the way to the back of the theatre,” a patron told Sebastian Daily.
Some people looked puzzled as the theater was being searched, but everyone remained calm while law enforcement was present.
In the end, deputies find no man with a gun matching the description.
“We received a call of a man with a gun in the theater. We responded and didn’t find anyone matching the description and no one carrying an illegal firearm,” Maj. Eric Flowers told Sebastian Daily.
