VERO BEACH – Deputies from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about gunshots being fired at a house in Vero Beach.
Law enforcement officials made contact with Taliebre Williams, a homeowner on 44th Lane, who said she heard a loud gunshot and that’s when everyone in the house got on the floor. Williams does not know who fired the single round.
Upon further inspection, she found a bullet hole in the front window of her residence. She did not see any cars outside or vehicles passing her home during the time of the shooting. The home is located on a dead end street with four other houses.
Deputies made contact with the other people in the home, and they too could not provide any information as to who might have fired the shot into the Vero Beach residence.
Officials searched the area but could find any shell casings or other evidence. The case is pending further investigation.
