The girl told Indian River County investigators Valenzuela said that he was 17 when they became friends on Snapchat.
“Valenzuela would frequently comment about how pretty she was and always made statements about her coming to hang out with him,” the girl said, according to the report.
“She thought this was weird because Valenzuela was older than her.”
The teenager told investigators that she was was raped by Valenzuela. It happened when she was walking her dog in front of his house in November when he had her tie her dog up outside, carried her into his bedroom and raped her.
Valenzuela recorded part of the sexual encounter on Snapchat, according to the affidavit.
The girl told detectives he had sex with her again in early December.
Valenzuela told a detective that he did have sex with the girl and that “he deserved to die in jail for what he had done,” the affidavit said.
