Capt Hirams Resort, in collaboration with Southern Eagle Distributing Inc., is excited to offer a series of five brew cruises from May 18th through August 10th. Participating breweries include Armed Forces Brewing Company, Ace Cider, Cape Fear (specializing in cocktail cruises), Tampa Bay Brewing Company, and Islamorada Brewery & Distillery.
Each 90-minute cruise aboard the River King will include unlimited alcohol and costs $45 per person. Participants must be at least 21 years old. All cruises depart from Capt Hirams Marina, located at 1606 Indian River Drive in Sebastian.
Armed Forces Brewing Company
The inaugural brews cruise, featuring Armed Forces Brewing Company from Norfolk, Virginia, is scheduled for Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Among their distinguished Board of Directors is Robert J. O’Neill, a highly decorated former U.S. Navy SEAL and Combat Leader for the renowned SEAL Team 6.
Armed Forces Brewing Company offers a range of beers, including Preamble (Patriotic Session Lager), Cat Shot (American Craft Lager), Special Hops (India Pale Ale), Grunt (Double India Pale Ale), and Death From Above (Coffee Porter).
Ace Cider
The next brews cruise is set for Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and it will feature Ace Cider from Sebastopol, California. Established post-prohibition, Ace Cider was one of the pioneering cider companies in the U.S. In 1999, they launched the country’s first contemporary cider pub, which remained open until 2010. Today, they continue to welcome visitors to their on-site cider-tasting room and offer an assortment of 14 different ciders.
Cape Fear Spirits & Beer
The third brews cruise at Capt Hirams will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., featuring Cape Fear’s pre-made cocktails. Based in Wilmington, North Carolina, Cape Fear presents an array of cocktails, including Aqua Tofana, The Peruvian, Brunch Voices, Holy Mountain, The Last Flight, Bird Cloud, Hot Honey, Dr. No, and Amari.
Tampa Bay Brewing Company
The Tampa Bay Brewing Company Brews Cruise is scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Founded in 1995 by the Doble family, Tampa Bay Brewing Company was established to quench Tampa Bay’s desire for craft beer at affordable prices. This independent craft brewery is known for its IPAs and embodies the quintessential Florida vibe.
Islamorada Brewery & Distillery
The season’s final brews cruise is set for Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., featuring Islamorada Brewery & Distillery from Fort Pierce, Florida. Their selection includes Sandbar Sunday (American Wheat Ale), Islamorada Ale (Island Citrus Ale), No Tanlines (Citrus Wheat Blend), Channel Marker (Session IPA), No Wake Zone (Coconut Key Lime Blonde), among others.
