SEBASTIAN – Indian River County has a few Veterans Day Observance events going on in Sebastian and Vero Beach.
Many American’s will be taking time out of their Veteran’s Day to honor our brave US Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, National Guard, and the Coast Guard soldiers who have put their lives on the line to defend our freedom.
Sebastian will hold their annual Riverview Park Veterans Memorial on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 11:00 am. The guest speaker will be Rob Medina, from Congressman’s Posey’s Office.

Vero Beach will be having their Veterans Memorial at Veterans Memorial Island Sanctuary on Friday, November 11, 2016. The ceremony will begin at 9 am. Major General Clay Buckingham US Army, Retired will be giving the keynote address.
Other special guests for this memorial will include Korean War Veterans: Ronald Stevens, Joseph A. Gomez, and Leon Linzi. All of which are Veterans Council of Indian River County members. Sergeant Justin Morris, USMC, and Staff Sergeant Jason Wang, US Army, will have the honor of placing the ceremonial wreath.
Attendees are asked to arrive early and bring a lawn chair.
