The day starts with lively parades marching through the streets, showcasing patriotic floats, marching bands, and enthusiastic participants waving American flags. As dusk settles in, the anticipation builds for the grand finale—the spectacular fireworks show that illuminates the night sky in a dazzling array of colors.
52nd Annual Freedom Festival – City of Sebastian/Sebastian Lion’s Club
The 52nd Annual Freedom Festival in Riverview Park will be from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and will include family-friendly contests, live music, and fireworks over the Indian River.
The parade will be on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 8:30 am, beginning at Davis Street & Central Ave. The route will proceed south on Indian River Drive past Riverview Park.
Following the parade, there will be festivities all day & night in Riverview Park, including live entertainment, food, contest, craft booths, vendors, and fireworks at 9:00 pm.
Schedule of Events
- 8:30 am: The parade starts near the Community Center at Davis St. and Central Ave. and proceeds down Indian River Drive to Riverview Park
- 10:00 am – 8:00 pm: Beer Sales at the Beer Concession
- 10:00 am – 11:00 am: Hula Hoop Contest
- 11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Live Music – Sax On The Beach
- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Watermelon Eating contest at the Bandstand (no hands allowed)
- 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Live Music – Sleepin’ Dogz
- 2:45 pm – 3:15 pm: Water Balloon Throwing Contest (during a band break)
- 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Karaoke Contest held by Brian Arnold ($50.00 Grand Prize & $20.00 2nd Place Prize)
- 6:00 pm – until Fireworks: Bobby Owen Band Country, Blues, Oldies
- 9:00 pm: Fireworks
Please be patient in the parking lots when coming and going. Be extra careful, and watch out for pedestrians! Give yourself plenty of time to get where you are going.

Barefoot Bay July 4th Celebration – Parade, Entertainment, Food & Fireworks (Must have a BFB Resident or Guest Pass)
Mark your calendars for the exciting July 4th Celebration in Barefoot Bay on Sunday, July 2, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm. The day will be packed with fun activities, including a lively parade, a food truck, captivating live entertainment, and an awe-inspiring fireworks display.
The parade will kick off at 4:00 pm in the field behind Rj’s & Holy Cannoli, making its way down Barefoot Bay Boulevard towards Building A. Participants can showcase their patriotic spirit, with prizes awarded for the most patriotic cart immediately after the parade, right under the majestic oaks.
Get ready to groove to the rhythm of the R&B band Soultime, performing at Building A (Lakeside) from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Remember, you’ll need a BFB resident or guest pass to attend this exciting musical performance.
As the day transitions into the evening, prepare to be captivated by Barefoot Bay’s Fireworks Spectacular starting at 9:00 pm. Many people enjoy the dazzling display from the lounge lakeside, where you can marvel at the vibrant colors and enchanting explosions.
