Oktoberfest runs from Saturday, September 17, through Monday, October 3, 2022, so you have plenty of opportunities to celebrate. Our local celebrations will include special beer releases at local breweries, German cuisine, traditional games, music, and dancing.
Each year during Oktoberfest, over 2 million gallons of beer are consumed. That’s 131,234 kegs of beer!
Mash Monkeys Brewing Company 5th Annual Oktoberfest
Mash Monkeys Brewing Company (MMBC) will celebrate its 5th Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 17, 2022, starting at 12:00 pm with special beer releases, contests, a food truck, live music, and the “Wheel of Fun.”
The special beer releases will include Märzen Festbier Betruger a German IPA, Schlagen a Berlinerweiss, and Frau Perchta an Imperial Schwarzbier.
Show your strength by competing in MMBC’s annual Stein Holding Contest; from what I hear, it’s quite the workout. Host Angela will be closely following the USSA’s official rules.
LenAnd10 Food Truck will be serving Beer Cheese & Pretzel Bites, Beer Braised Bratwurst, Reisfleisch, Schnitzel Stix and Apfelkuchen.
The amazing Sleepin’ Dogz band will be performing 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

Oktoberfest at Pareidolia Brewing Company
Pareidolia Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, beginning at 12:00 pm. They will be serving brats, Bavarian kraut, German Potato salad, and plenty of German beer to wash it down. Wear an Oktoberfest outfit and receive $1 off of your drinks.

St. Sebastian Catholic Church Oktoberfest Celebration
St. Sebastian Catholic Church will host its Oktoberfest Celebration on Saturday, October 8th at 5:oo pm at LeSage Hall, located at 13075 US-1, in Sebastian. They will have a Polka Band, a 50/50 raffle, a cocktail hour, and dinner.
There will be live entertainment by “Northern Sounds” with Brad Turk, who cites the influences of polka band legends the Dynatones, Eddie Blazoncyk, The Versatones, and Lenny Gomulka.
Cocktail Hour will begin at 5:00 pm, and dinner will be served at 5:30 pm. The dinner menu includes Yägerschnitzel, Chicken Paprikash Buttered Noodles, Sweet/Sour Cabbage, German Desserts, Coffee, and Tea. The cost is $25 per person. They will be accepting credit cards for dinner and the cash bar.
Tickets will go on sale after all Masses on 9/24, 9/25, 10/1, and 10/2, and at the Parish Office during office hours.

Capt Hirams Oktoberfest
Capt Hirams Resort will be hosting its annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm on the sandbar located at 1606 Indian River Dr, in Sebastian.
There will be German Cuisine, a stein lifting contest, music by Greg & Brian, and Capt Karaoke. So, head to Capt Hirams for some Oktoberfest fun; sign up for the contest once you arrive.

Oktoberfest Origination
Oktoberfest originated in Munich, Germany, on October 12, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.
