Babyface says he and his family have tested positive for the Coronavirus.
“I tested positive for the Covid19 virus, as did my family. It’s an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends,” he wrote on Twitter.
However, Babyface went on to say they “have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health.”
Babyface, whose real name is Kenny Edmonds, turned 62 years old on Friday, April 10, 2020. The R&B singer kept the Coronavirus diagnoses quiet after he tested positive, according to Billboard.
Coronavirus has taken over the United States, with more than 500,000 people testing positive. There have been approximately 19,000 deaths in the country, with almost 30,000 people testing negative for the virus.
Also on Friday, Dr. Anthony Fauci lowered the Coronavirus death toll estimate from upward of 240,000 to 60,000, offering some encouragement during the pandemic. While the news is encouraging, Dr. Fauci said that social distancing and stay-at-home orders have greatly reduced the estimated death toll.
Babyface is one of many celebrities who tested positive for Coronavirus.
“I feel so blessed to be able to celebrate another birthday,” he wrote on Twitter.
