Health officials are reporting 30 confirmed coronavirus cases in Indian River County, Florida. 2 patients are non-residents.

Brevard County, our neighbor to the north, now has 34 confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The Indian River County patients are 18 men and 12 women between the ages of 8 to 84. The average age is 57. There are 3 people hospitalized, and no deaths.

About 258 people tested negative in Indian River County. Officials are waiting on 7 results.

Cleveland Clinic, Indian River Hospital, is providing drive-through testing by appointments from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. To make an appointment, call the hospital at 772-226-4846.

Florida

The big concern right now is the state of Florida. The daily cases are soaring steadily.

Florida now has 6,338 total cases (6,096 are residents, 242 are non-Florida residents), and there have been 77 deaths. About 53,773 people have tested negative in Florida. Over 715 people are hospitalized in the state.
