There’s a rumor going around that a Walmart employee who lives in Barefoot Bay has the coronavirus.
According to the state and county health department, no one in Grant, Micco, or Barefoot Bay has COVID-19 at this time. It was just reported that 1 person in Malabar does have coronavirus.
Walmart was one of the first stores to implement a nightly cleaning in its stores ever since the virus hit Florida.
Also, if the numbers change in the following days, we’ll let you know.
If someone gets the virus in Barefoot Bay, it does not mean everyone will be infected. As long as everyone is obeying the CDC guidelines (washing hands, staying home, etc.) there’s nothing to fear.
The number of coronavirus cases are projected to go up this week in Florida and our local area. The majority will not be infected, while others will have complications. This is a virus that should be taken seriously.
Please care for your neighbors, shop for them if they can’t leave the house. Look after people during this time because we’re all in this together.
