The Sebastian Elks Lodge, located at 731 S. Fleming Street, has shut down temporarily after a few members tested positive for COVID-19.
“After being notified late last week that a member had tested positive for Covid-19, we had the Lodge cleaned and professionally sanitized over the weekend,” the Elks Lodge said in a statement.
“We have since been notified of several additional positive tests, so the Lodge will be shut down immediately and will remain closed for a minimum of two weeks, the Lodge added.
The Elks Lodge says the cases may be from last Wednesday’s afternoon Bingo. If you were in attendance, they ask you to consult your physician for any concerns.
The Sebastian Elks isn’t the only place that had to close due to positive COVID-19 tests.
A couple of restaurants did a voluntary shut down in July after employees tested positive for COVID-19. The businesses conducted a deep-cleaning and have been fine ever since.
