The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 56 is hosting a Boating Safety Training course on Saturday, September 21st, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This course, held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), located at 815 Louisiana Ave. in Sebastian, is perfect for anyone wanting to navigate Florida’s waterways confidently. Upon successful completion of the course and exam, participants will receive a certificate and a Florida State Boater’s ID card.
The Boating Safety Course is $2 for adults and teens are free.

- Boat Smarts: Understand the parts and terminology of your boat.
- Preparation is Key: Learn about float plans, fueling, trailering, launching, and retrieving your boat safely.
- Navigate with Confidence: Master navigation rules, night navigation techniques, and navigation aids.
