In the early morning hours on March 23rd, Anthony “Andy” Manzo, cherished Husband, Father, and friend passed away from complications of pancreatic cancer at the hospital in Sebastian, Florida.
Andy was born in Malden Massachusetts and is a graduate of Brewer High School in Brewer Maine. He served in The United States Navy after high school and before being married to his beloved wife and partner Karen Leah Levine-Manzo. Andy first met Karen when he was only 10 years old and the two enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Andy was the proud father of two daughters, Marie Manzo and Teresa Jamo.
He made a home for his family in Bangor, Maine where he had a long career as a jeweler. he worked most of his career at well known jewelry store Boyd & Noyes in downtown Bangor until his retirement and store closure. After retirement he continued to make jewelry part time for Quality Jewelers in Bangor until his move to Florida.
Andy is survived by 4 grandchildren, Kristine Madore, Karen Ayer, Tyler Jamo, and Lexie Hoxie. Also four great grandchildren. Andy was known for his strength, kindness, and compassion.
He was truly the Patriach of the family and they will honor his memory by continuing to follow his strong example of a life well lived. A graveside service will be planned for late June at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Bangor.
