Charlene M. (Bell) Lucier-Buck, age 96, of Mansfield, formerly of Barefoot Bay, Florida, and Brockton, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard C. Buck and the late Norman R. Lucier.
Born in Hanson, MA, on March 27, 1928, she was a loving daughter of the late Alton and Emma (Chase) Bell.
Charlene grew up in Hanson and was a graduate of Whitman High School. She was a dedicated homemaker to her adoring family and formerly worked at Christy’s Market in Brockton. A former forty-four-year resident of Florida, Charlene was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society.
Charlene’s family was the essence of her life, and the joy she received spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was second to none. Another favorite time was taking trips with her daughter and son-in-law, Ronald, who loved and cared for her as if she were his own mother. Charlene will be remembered for many things, especially her love and sweet tooth for ice cream.
She is survived by her devoted children, Sherry A. Buck, her husband Ronald of Mansfield, Stephen P. Lucier, and his wife Ann of Sebastian, Florida. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer, Jeffrey, Mark, Jason, and Stephen and is also survived by many treasured great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her funeral service on Tuesday, November 26th at 11:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Brockton.
Visitation will be held at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home on Tuesday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlene’s memory may be made to and sent to the Daggett-Crandall-Newcomb Home, 55 Newland Street, Norton, MA 02766. Donations will be used to fund the residents’ activity fund.
