John Moskus passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 27, 2024, at the age of 85. He was raised in Columbus, Ohio, and lived in Sebastian, Florida.
He graduated from St. Charles High School, where he played left halfback on the football team. His success in the game earned him a football scholarship to Capital University, where he played defensive back until a knee separation injury ended his career.
John worked for Burger King Corporation for twenty years before retiring to Florida. He met his wife Joan in Jupiter, Florida, where they were married. They traveled extensively together in their camper and enjoyed a mountain cabin in the Carolinas.
While living at Spruce Creek Golf & Country Club in Summerfield, Florida, John was elected Carving Club President for his ability to teach and his award-winning duck carvings.
John moved back to Sebastian to be near family and friends. He is survived by his wife Joan, her son Andy Hodges his wife Tina, and his brother James.
