Samuel “Sam” R. Maxwell Sr., formerly of Sebastian, FL, aged 76, died peacefully surrounded by his family at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Houston, TX on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Born the only child of James W. and Anna C. (DeLeo) Maxwell on January 15, 1943 in Brookline, MA. He graduated from Miami Palmetto High School in Miami Miami, FL in 1963, where he was the manager of the football and track teams.
Sam was a lover of fishing, watching football, World War II history and movies, and a quality cigar. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved the Indian River and the Sebastian Inlet.
Sam is survived by his spouse Jeanne Maxwell of Bellingham, MA, his children Sam Maxwell Jr. and wife June, of Blackstone, MA, James Maxwell and wife Kristina of Athol, MA, daughter Lisa Maxwell-Rounds and husband Christopher of Franklin, MA and son Michael Maxwell and wife Betty-Jo of Seabrook, TX. He also leaves behind grandchildren Tristan, Emily, Zack, Maxwell, Lillian, Ashna, Jackson, O’Ryan and great-grandson Owen.
