William “Pirate” Delaney, 81, of Sebastian, FL passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2020. He is survived by his daughter Susan, son Andrew, and sister Patsy. He will be reunited with the love of his life, Claire and his oldest son, Billy.

Pirate (as many knew him for the name of his boat) was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 12, 1939. He worked for the Post Office in Ocean City, NJ for 35 years and raised his family in Somers Point, NJ before retiring with his beloved wife Claire in Sebastian, FL in 2005.

First and foremost he was an amazing father & husband, but he will be remembered equally for his love of the ocean and his unrivaled passion for fishing. He spent most of his life on his boat and took great pleasure catching fish with family and friends.

He lived an amazing fun filled life and brought his big smile and friendly ways wherever he went.

He will rest in peace in his favorite place, the ocean.
