Last Friday, our staff made a visit to our first Happy Hour at Captain Hirams since the pandemic and found it to be very safe, with excellent service, and the band never missed a beat.
We’ve been reading some of the reviews on Facebook about Capt. Hirams. People were complaining of patrons not wearing masks, and workers not following the mask rules set by the City of Sebastian.
They require reservations, so we went online and reserved a table. Soon after, someone from Captain Hirams called and verified our booking. They asked that we get there 10 minutes early.
As we walked into the Sandbar area, a person was there waiting to seat us and to make sure we were wearing masks. They are taking the face masks seriously. They require them to be worn at all times when walking around the establishment. Customers can remove their face masks once seated.
As the band played, no one was dancing because of social distancing. Everyone kept their distance from other tables and wore masks when not seated.
When patrons leave, the staff cleans the entire table and seats. The staff continued to do this to all tables where people sat.
During our observation, we noticed Capt. Hiram’s employees are serious about the cleanliness and safety of their customers. Our staff felt very comfortable during the visit.
We’re making our way around all the establishments in Sebastian, and will be bringing you updates.
