SEBASTIAN – The Sebastian City Council voted Wednesday to make a change in who will run the club’s food operations at the Sebastian Municipal Golf Course, which is currently the Eagle’s Nest restaurant.
The City Council voted to have Wesley Campbell, owner of Mo-Bay Grill in Sebastian, to operate the newly named Sebastian Golf Restaurant & Sports Lounge.
Mo-Bay Grill will remain in Sebastian and there are no plans to move. Campbell is just setting up another restaurant at the golf course.
According to the 10-year lease agreement, Campbell will pay $3,500 monthly rent, and the city will spend up to $35,000 on clubhouse improvements.
The new offerings at the Sebastian Golf Restaurant & Sports Lounge will include a Sunday brunch.
The lease for the current Eagle’s Nest operators will expire in November.
The Eagle’s Nest began operating the golf-course concession in 1990, signed their current lease in 1997 and twice renewed it for 10 years.
The Sebastian Golf Restaurant & Sports Lounge will become the new name for the restaurant after November.
