We’ve been going out to all the local restaurants here in Sebastian to find out how they are handling safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
As we walked into Las Palmas Cuban Restaurant, located at 1451 Sebastian Blvd. in Sebastian, we noticed hand sanitizers at the entrance and all employees wearing masks.
As a matter of fact, during our visit, every customer coming and going wore a mask except for one individual who was picking up their to-go order.
Las Palmas is very picky about people standing at the entrance, especially when waiting on their to-go orders. We noticed some people were asked to wait outside. They are trying to keep the entrance clear at all times to practice social distancing.
The tables are more than six feet apart, and they won’t sit patrons in a booth next to you. We noticed they went above and beyond what is required by the City of Sebastian and the CDC guidelines.
We liked everything we saw at Las Palmas, and the pork Cuban sandwich served with onion rings. The sandwich was great and the pork was very tender. We will definitely order that again.
We will provide further updates as we visit more restaurants. Also, you can read about our recent visit to Capt. Hirams.
