It happened to be my birthday, so we stopped at Woody’s and ordered the Smoking Spare Ribs with fries and coleslaw, and the Big Half a Chicken with beans and coleslaw.
What surprises me about Woody’s waitresses is that they remember you and what you drink. It shows a lot of southern hospitality and gratitude towards their patrons. I’ve never had a bad meal at this place.
For our dinner, the Smoking Spare Ribs were tender and meaty. They were slow-smoked for several hours and basted. I thought about ordering their Baby Back Ribs (they are great) but opted for the spare ribs instead. I enjoyed their coleslaw, and the fries were cooked perfectly.
My wife ordered the Big Half a Chicken that was also slow-smoked and flavorful. She likes to use the Sweet Sauce with the chicken. She ordered coleslaw and baked beans for her two sides.
Woody’s was very busy when we arrived, but we still got seated right away. When I told them it was my birthday, they told me “dinner was on them” up to $12. Since my dinner was more than $12, they just deducted it from my spare ribs.
The service was excellent, and we had no complaints. The waitresses work hard and are very tentative.
We also tried something new, which was not on the menu; they’re called “Piggy Rolls,” and they were delicious! Ask for them, and make sure you tell them that you heard about the Piggy Rolls from Sebastian Daily.
So, if it’s your birthday, we recommend trying Woody’s BBQ in Sebastian.
